NEW YORK (Oct. 15 2015) – Work Market, the leading on-demand marketplace for independent professionals, today announced that it has been recognized by Crain’s New York Business in the publication’s Fast 50 list for the second consecutive year.
The annual list recognizes New York companies achieving astronomical growth. Work Market was honored with this distinction for its strong three-year growth rate, accounting for an increase of 1,133 percent between 2011 and 2014.
“The meteoric rise of the freelance economy has created one of the biggest labor revolutions in decades,” said Jeff Wald, president and co-founder of Work Market. “We’re humbled and beyond honored to be recognized alongside New York’s most successful companies.”
The Crain’s Fast 50 looks at companies with $10 million or more in revenue and measures their three-year annualized growth rate. Work Market was joined on the list by businesses like StartApp (#1), Buzzfeed (#11), and Vice Media (#42).
Since its founding in 2010, Work Market has achieved continued momentum as more employers find themselves managing ever-larger staffs of freelance workers.
